It is nestled in the bushveld and is an angler's paradise, boasting a riverfront spanning a few hundred meters. The river is 120 meters wide with a minimum depth of 4 meters. Please note that power boats are not allowed, but electric propulsion boats and canoes are welcome. For the safety of the free-roaming wildlife, including antelope, the resort is not pet-friendly.
Resort owners have access to a breathtaking 14 km hiking trail on the adjacent game farm through a registered servitude. This trail offers a broad spectrum of game viewing (excluding the Big 5) and is an ornithologist's dream, with a plethora of birdlife. This tranquil, secluded retreat is ideal for a retired couple or as a weekend getaway.

The quaint town of Parys is just 28kms from the resort. Parys is popular for its choice of art galleries, antique shops, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. The town is a gateway to adventure including river rafting, canoeing, angling, power boating, abseiling, gliding, hiking and 4x4 routes. Other activities include quad biking, bird watching, horse riding, archery and shooting. The Vredefort Dome is another major attraction. The crater was formed two-billion years ago when the largest meteorite ever to strike the earth crashed, forcing the lower rock layers to the surface and creating a semicircular mountainous indentation 42km long. Another popular attraction is the Dell Cheetah Centre just 10km outside Parys.
