This beautiful farm is situated inside the Leeuwgedacht Bewarea Conservancy to which there is controlled access and borders on the fence of the Dinokeng Game Reserve. Being only an hour’s drive from Johannesburg and 35 minutes from Pretoria, makes it an ideal destination for a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The farm has four independent housing units each with cherry wood and granite top kitchens offers the opportunity of having an Air BNB. There is a beautiful garden with a boma and braai areas for entertaining or just relaxing in the quiet under the trees. There are approximately 400 lemon trees on the property. The Conservancy is approximately a thousand hectares hosting a diversity of fauna and flora, with the Boekenhouts River bordering one side. Various antelope species such as blesbuck, impala, red hartebeest, kudu, njala as well as giraffe, zebra, blouwildebeest can be seen grazing on the savannah grasslands. Possible sightings are baboons, monkeys, warthog and meerkat. The variety of bird species and indigenous trees complete the feast for nature lovers. The Conservancy is managed by its members – some of the property owners in the Conservancy - who contribute towards the maintenance of the roads, security gate and management of the fauna and flora via monthly membership fees (the optional levy). As an owner of the property you have a share in the natural game. If you want to do more than enjoy some of the activities available in the Bewarea such as the hiking trails, mountain bike riding, horse riding and game drives a short trip will take you to Dinokeng where you can see the Big 5, go to one of the spas inside the Conservancy or having a nice dinner at the Conclave.
