Exclusive Mandate
Tucked between Sedgefield and Wilderness lies a 23-hectare avocado farm that blends agricultural success, eco-tourism potential, and tranquil country living into one remarkable opportunity.
Abundant Orchards
The land is alive with growth:
5,350 avocado trees
481 citrus trees (lemons and naartjies)
231 pecan nut trees
87 custard apple trees
12 walnut trees
A wellpoint supplies irrigation, supported by a water filtration system and a nutrient feed line that enriches the soil through a ring-feed drip irrigation system. Together, they keep the orchards flourishing throughout the seasons.
Eco-Tourism Experience
Nestled within the indigenous bush are six handcrafted wooden cabins, built from timber sourced from the original trees of the land. Each offers:
A cosy, open-plan studio layout
En-suite bathroom
Covered veranda with outdoor-style kitchenette
Deck for alfresco meals
Two cabins include private hot tubs, and all are connected by wooden boardwalks that meander through the bush to a separate guest parking area. Some cabins perch higher, offering breathtaking views of Rondevlei, while others invite guests into an intimate forest embrace. Together they create an idyllic, eco-friendly retreat perfectly suited for tourism income.
Comfortable Living
Main Homestead: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open-plan lounge and dining area, farm-style kitchen with scullery, covered veranda with built-in braai overlooking the orchards. Extras include a workshop, storeroom, and greenhouse.
Foreman’s House: Converted from an original outbuilding, now beautifully renovated in modern black-and-white finishes. Features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open-plan lounge/kitchen, and a laundry room.
Both homes run on 8 kVA off-grid solar systems, while a new 50 kVA solar system is currently being installed to serve the entire farm. Eskom electricity is also available.
Farm Infrastructure
300 m² shed: Two large workshop areas and a secure tool room
125 m² staff facilities: Accommodation, ablutions, and a laundry serving the cabins
Borehole: Supplying fresh water to the main house, foreman’s house, and cabins
Nature & Lifestyle
Beyond the orchards and cabins, part of the farm has been lovingly restored to its original vegetation and declared a nature conservation area, ensuring that its natural beauty will be preserved for generations.
This is more than just a farm — it’s a place where agriculture, eco-tourism, and homestead living thrive side by side. A property where you can work the soil, welcome guests to a bush hideaway, and enjoy peaceful evenings overlooking your own avocado orchards in the Wilderness area.
