This 548 Ha farm is a Nature reserve situated on the KZN/Free state border at the top of Normandien pass. The farm is registered in a company which alleviate excessive transfer costs. Full financials are available to a qualified buyer. The general topography is undulating and mountainous with fairly moderate to steep slopes in the gorges. The farm offers good grazing offering a 2,2-3 Ha /LSU (feeding supplement will be needed in the winter). Annual rainfall in the area of 901mm to 936mm with cool summers of 24Celcuis. The elevation is 1903 above sea level. There are no arable lands because it is a Nature Reserve. the caretaker Johannes Tsabango has permission to keep 30 head of cattle several sheep, chickens and horses on the property and 75 Ha has been set aside for his personal use. There are no cattle handling facilities on the farm.
There are two houses on the farm; House 1- comprises of seven bedrooms, sunroom, dining room, lounge with fireplace, kitchen with coal stove, toilet and bathroom. House 2- this log house comprises a double volume open plan lounge/dining room/kitchen with 2 rooms and a shower under the staircase leading to the loft. There is a main bedroom with bathroom in the loft and a wooden deck that offers a scenic view of the valley.
There is no ESCOM power, the owners make use of a generator or solar power.
The perennial Ncandu River and several natural mountain streams are running through the property. There are also waterfalls as well as several fountains and a large earth dam. Water for the houses are obtained from a borehole and fountain respectively.
