WESTERN KALAHARI LIVESTOCK FARM WITH STRONG WATER, GOOD INFRASTRUCTURE AND ESTABLISHED GRAZING
Situated near Noenieput in the Western Kalahari, this well-developed livestock farm offers a combination of practical farming infrastructure, reliable water supply and quality Kalahari grazing veld. The area is known for its peaceful atmosphere, wide open spaces, red sand dunes and hardy indigenous vegetation, making it ideal for both productive farming and a quieter farming lifestyle.
The farm spans 4,389.1536 hectares and is ideally suited to cattle and sheep farming. Approximately 60% of the property has an estimated carrying capacity of 1 LSU per 28 hectares, while the remaining 40% supports approximately 1 LSU per 24 hectares. The area receives an average annual rainfall of between 100 mm and 200 mm.
The western section of the farm consists of harder Kalahari shrubland with a variety of shrubs and succulents. This area is located closer to the homestead and includes natural pans as well as a large earthen dam. In good rainfall years, the dam is capable of holding water for up to a year, significantly reducing pressure on boreholes and lowering pipeline water costs.
The eastern side offers typical Gordonia duneveld with small to large red Kalahari dunes, mixed grasses, thorny bushes and beautiful grey camel thorn trees. This section provides excellent natural grazing and carries the true character of the Kalahari. Access to parts of this area requires a 4x4 vehicle.
The farm is divided into 12 camps ranging from 162ha to 754ha, allowing for effective grazing management and livestock rotation. The entire perimeter fencing is jackal proof.
