Kokstad is a town in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal. The town is situated in the foothills of the Drakensberg mountains and is surrounded by fertile farmland. There are a number of schools and colleges in Kokstad, as well as a hospital and a number of churches. The town is also home to the South African Police Academy. Kokstad is a popular tourist destination, due to its proximity to the Drakensberg mountains and its many hiking and camping opportunities.
