Howick is a town in the KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa's UMngeni Local Municipality. It is located about 60 km inland from the port city of Durban. Howick is the site of the Howick Falls, where the uMngeni River tumbles over a basalt cliff into a pool below. The town is also home to the Howick Historical Village, a living museum that recreates the lifestyle of the 19th-century settlers in the area.
