Eshowe is a town in Zululand in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is the administrative center of the Umlalazi Local Municipality, and was the capital of the Zululand District Municipality until 2004. Eshowe is one of the oldest towns in Zululand, and has a rich history dating back to the days of the Zulu Kingdom. The town is situated in a beautiful setting, with the Lebombo Mountains to the west and the Indian Ocean to the east. Eshowe has a subtropical climate, and is a popular tourist destination.
